The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed concerning the high amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area regularly. The support place made for intervention experiences a high influx of prospective beneficiaries, which status sassa makes it hard with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to enable the sassa status check servicing of all customers and enhance usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
